Bought this little baby as an unfinished project.
Few of you would have seen it posted on here aswell.
Basically fitted with a G60 lump but the last owner got messed around so much with the conversion that he eventually gave up.
Anyway plans are to pull the engine out and put it into my mk1 golf and fit the old engine back in.
I'm sure some of you might recognise it as was featured in a few mags back in the day.

whats the probs with the g

bassically the belt tensioner is wedged tight against the chassis rail.
needs the wiring doing,pipework doing.
Will be alot easier to pull the engine out and refit the old 1.8 carb engine

Always liked this Rocco. Like Jez said, the back end rocks without the spoiler.

Well weather wasn't too bad today so had spent a quick hour on the Rocco.
Bassically the engine is now ready to come out again :muhaha:
The car was never going to run with what the garage had done to it all they had really done was got it bolted in place nothing was connected and what little was connected up was all wrong
Anyway all i have to do now is get the engine crane out and lift the old girl out

As it was before i started

The offending fanbelt adjuster that was touching on the chassis rail.what they had done wrong was weld the engine mount too low and the engine was on the p**S :wall:

Removed all the charger pipes fanbelt all the dodgy wiring,pipes they had cut for no reason,coil few other bits and bobs.
Unbolted downpipe and driveshafts


was left with a big pile of junk

Should be out next weekend and old engine back in place when i have the crane back at mine

you will have to flash me mate , what motors will i see you in? do you still have the mk 1 (love that it looks great when i see it)

also do you know whos the smoothed front bumpered y reg passat estate is in lincoln , its dark bue and looks a little special
