gee, would a vinyl roof not be a cheaper option? wheels look nice, don't go defeating your objectives of this car though, remember why you bought it, for what reason, don't make it impractical for its purpose and end up selling it...............

so folks how long we giving him before he sells it?!

less then a month 11:1
2-3 months 8:1
4-6 months 5:1
7 months to a year 2:1

place your bets now.

lol.

Vinyl roof would be cheaper, but there's some defects on it that need attention, so it needs paint anyway. Might just do it silver again and then vinyl it afterwards... but then there's the mirrors that need paint anyway...

Looks sweet buddy, I'm liking the plans. The roof in a different colour is a must. It works really well.

they are lovely rims, there was a lovely gold one at tatton park vwnw in 2007 with a tan leather interior and no headrests sat on a set of them and it looked so nice. definately my favourite rims for a bora for the oem* look.

gee, get your mirrors and roof painted that colour perhaps then? if you get your rims done by the same person you will get an exact match. it would look very nice. perhaps you could even get your rim lips sprayed the same colour silver as the car? saves polishing and would look very nice.

A pro could wrap the mirrors for you gee but personally I'd only do the roof in dark gray and the wheels Smile

Slight change of plan... the OZ's have gone as they were going to be a RIGHT pain in the arse... so I bought some BBS Calito's from a new A3 instead. Trial fitted one wheel tonight so that I could decide what size tyre to order for them...

They are lovely wheels, but they don't look like 18's - hopefully with tyres on and the coil-overs they'll look better... might need a tiny bit of stretch on there to get them tucked up in the arches...

I think they're a well nice looking wheel and I quite like the fact they don't look enormous - sticking with the darker centre route or going for something different?

Keeping them as they are for this year... might change them when they come off for the winter.

Jez... thinking about it - it's just not fast enough as it is... lol

Just picked up a LCR front splitter to go on it... obviously it'll need a bit of work to fit... but should look good.

Updated pics on Friday when the work's been done.

Really lovely rims Giles, I think they'll look spot on when the tyres are fitted and it's dropped. The modern wheel on a slightly older model Audi will be a nice touch.
