Back in the country, new Lupo time...

Post by Ninety on Tue Jul 22, 2008 7:28 pm

Hello again. After coming to a couple of meets last year, I cleared off to Australia for a while and I've not been posting. Anyway, while I was away my Dad sold my A4 so I've come back carless. I'd managed to save a bit while I was away and saw a Lupo 1.4 for sale locally too cheap.

There's a couple of bits of paint that need sorting in time and the engine light needs turning off (think/hope it's just the lambda sensor). I spent a few hours on her today, washed, clayed (never tried that before, but it's worked a treat - the previous owner must have lived next to a soot factory) and polished her and here she is now...

No immediate plans beyond sorting the little niggles, but I'd like some Renault turbines and a little drop. That said there's some P-slots on the bay at the moment for super cheap - they'd look interesting, but I can't figure out whether that's interesting good or interesting bad...

Nice to see you back!

Lee has a set of Turbines that I know he's selling... get in touch with him.

Great little ride mate. Hope you had a blast in Australia? What were you up to over there?

Thanks everyone! Australia was pretty good - went for a break, a total change and ended up working for an insurance company...d'oh! I had a good time, but believe it or not, it's good to be back.

Repairs first, then mods - if I've enough cash left after that I'll drop Lee a pm...

I think you can make Lupo's look great just by dropping them and adding rims.

Tom - Eclats would look great, but I'm not keen on using adapters.

Dan - It's come up pretty nice, but the photos flatter it - the passenger door's got a couple of dents in it (should pull out no bother) and there's been a none-too-great repair on the driver's side rear quarter. I'm still pretty pleased on the whole though Smile
